“White Space” Wifi coming to Houston
Wow, coming to houston!
A couple dozen residents of the working-class Pecan Park neighborhood in Houston are about to do something few Americans have yet tried—access the Internet through a wireless connection that uses the empty TV-band “white spaces.” And the federal government is picking up the tab.

Hopefully I got most of them right but I may have made mistakes and I can do some better than others. However, I made this video for my friends because I promised them I would do an accent video. Hiding your Wifi SSID is NOT secure
Don’t hide your SSID – it doesn’t help… oh, and BTW and don’t use MAC filtering either – it also doesn’t help…
This myth has been around for a very long time, and we aren’t expecting everybody to receive this news with happy agreement. You’re welcome to state your case in the comments for why hidden wireless networks are a great idea, but we think if you keep reading, you’ll realize that it’s just not a security feature.
