Fake C-Notes

Jan 15 2008

‘Klaus Bender, the author of Moneymakers: The Secret World of Banknote Printing, said the phony $100 bill is “not a fake anymore. It’s an illegal parallel print of a genuine note.” He claims that the supernotes are of such high quality and are updated so frequently that they could be produced only by a U.S. government agency such as the CIA.’

EVDO vs UMTS

Jan 06 2008

So, so I decided to switch to UMTS to see what I’d get on ATT and here’s what I got:

I think I maybe canceling my EV-DO service when I get back. 😀

Nurses Live Longer?

Jan 05 2008

Its weird that a subgroup of nurses have a much higher rate of dying, but overall they do better than the rest of us…

Nurses have a lower risk of dying from several different conditions compared with individuals in the general population, according to the findings of a large Canadian study of registered nurses (RNs).

Registered nurses have lower overall mortality risk

Internet Sharing over Wifi on PocketPC

Dec 28 2007

If you have a 3G-capable PocketPC phone with Wifi you need check out WMWifiRouter. I just tried it and its awesome!

WMWifiRouter is a tool to use your Windows Mobile 6 (possibly 5) as a WiFi < -> GPRS/UMTS/HSPA router. It’ll allow you to use WiFi capable devices to connect to the internet through your phone’s data connection.

Pleo and Furby

Dec 20 2007

A couple of weeks ago I had the priviledge of meeting the co-inventor of the Furby and and inventor of the Pleo… and I just ran into this article about the Pleo.

One of the many details that make Ugobe’s new animatronic dinosaur, Pleo, interesting is that owners will soon be able to design custom animations with a development kit.

Studying

Dec 18 2007

I wonder if students who have higher GPA’s don’t need to study since they already know the material?

Students who rely on all-nighters to bring up their grades might want to sleep on that strategy: A new survey says those who never study all night have slightly higher GPAs than those who do.

All-nighters may not improve grades
