I hope you’re not a “Social Media Expert”
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way about this…
If you call yourself a social media expert, don’t even bother sending me your resume.
No business in the world should want one on their team. They shouldn’t want a guru, rockstar or savant, either. If you have a social media expert on your payroll, you’re wasting your money.
Being an expert in social media is like being an expert at taking the bread out of the refrigerator. You might be the best bread-taker-outer in the world, but you know what? The goal is to make an amazing sandwich, and you can’t do that if all you’ve done in your life is taken the bread out of the fridge.

Do you like Apple products? Its likely you’re religious.
I always wondered if this was true…
In a recently screened BBC documentary, UK neuroscientists suggested that the brains of Apple devotees are stimulated by Apple imagery in the same way that the brains of religious people are stimulated by religious imagery.
via Apple causes ‘religious’ reaction in brains of fans, say neuroscientists.

Don’t buy a used car, buy it new
This situation doesn’t happen often… but if you’re in the market for a car right now, buy new…
It’s the best time in years to sell your car.
People are holding on to cars and trucks for about a year longer than they did before the recession, which has created a tight supply of used vehicles. So few are on the market that prices have risen to their highest in at least 16 years.
via High used-car prices make it ideal time to sell – Business – Autos – msnbc.com.

Why Nintendo’s Mario is a plump shape with a big head
Heh… who knew?
“The reason Mario is a plump shape is because gaming devices at that time could only read collisions between square boxes, not because I wanted to make him cute. His design turned out like that because I adjusted for the capabilities of the gaming device of the day. For example, resolution was low, so I made his face big. But today’s game consoles can handle collisions with round or irregular shapes.”

You can now SEE quantum entanglement
Quantum teleportation stuff seems to be in the news more and more lately…
Physicists at the University of Geneva in Switzerland have devised a new kind of quantum experiment using humans as photon detectors, and in doing so have made the quantum phenomenon of entanglement visible to the naked eye for the first time.
For the First Time, Humans See Quantum Entanglement With the Naked Eye

Sleep is more important than food
Sleep deprivation is not a pretty thing…
Say you decide to go on a fast, and so you effectively starve yourself for a week. At the end of seven days, how would you be feeling? You’d probably be hungry, perhaps a little weak, and almost certainly somewhat thinner. But basically you’d be fine.
Now let’s say you deprive yourself of sleep for a week. Not so good. After several days, you’d be almost completely unable to function. That’s why Amnesty International lists sleep deprivation as a form of torture.

Quantum teleportation breakthrough
The latest news on teleportation… its getting good…
Researchers have achieved a breakthrough in quantum communications and computing using a teleporter and a paradoxical cat.
The breakthrough is the first-ever transfer, or teleportation, of a particular complex set of quantum information from one point to another, opening the way for high-speed, high-fidelity transmission of large volumes of information, such as quantum encryption keys, via quantum communications networks.
Teleportation – the transfer of quantum information from one location to another using normal, “classical” communications – is one of the fundamental quantum communication techniques.
