Radar Detectors
This has been obvious to me for some time, but lots of people don’t realize this:
A radar detector should be mounted as high on the windshield as possible, preferably flush with the roof of the car. Any other mounting is a waste of time, money and dash space.

A lot of people mount them to the left or on top of their gauges, bad idea. I mount My almost directly under the rearview to get the 360 degree detection. It actually looks like it belongs their instead of a toll tag, which by the way belongs behind your regisration stickers, it works trust me.
