		<description>Yet more proof of the narrow-mindedness and ignorance that religion breeds in people.  If you want proof of the extent of damage religion can do, just look to the middle east.  And please, don't even fool yourself for one second into thinking that christianity is any better than islam.  It is just as harsh, cruel, idiotic, and destructive.  Just take a quick look at history.  Or, you can even look up the bonfire of the vanities.  And no, not the movie.</description>

		<description>I think the more important figure is the second study cited later on in the article... the part where they mention the percentage of people who overtly reject evolution has dropped from 48% to 39% over the same period.  To me, that says even if more people (5% over 20 years) are looking to religion instead of science, they're more secular than fundamentalist in their beliefs.</description>
